Season 5 Episode 1: Macallan is seen being denied access in the NSA.Season 4 episode 8: Macallan is seen dancing without a shirt. LeAnn Harvey knew him for years as he was previously in a relationship with her mother. When she later received an audio recording of him which said that if she was listening to it, it meant that he was dead, she broke down as his body was shown slumped next to his bed with a gunshot wound to his head. Macallan was later kidnapped and held captive in Russia by President Viktor Petrov and eventually returned to the US where he met with LeAnn Harvey. Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright are great as always and there is a nice scene with Boris McGiver and Constance Zimmer indicating that Frank's skeletons may yet be resurfaced.Aidan Macallan was a data scientist and NSA contractor who aided the Underwoods in staging a cyber attack which they hoped would swing the outcome of the 2016 Presidential election in their favor. The cinematography is as great as ever and I enjoyed the use of music, particularly during Conway's cheesy, patriotic speech in front of the Brooklyn Bridge. Technically it is a well made episode, particularly the editing and how the scenes cross cut and jump cut to different visuals whilst keeping continuity with the subject matter. The gun control plot is a bit more interesting from my perspective as someone living in a country that doesn't have a gun culture so I'm keen to see where writers go with it. Huh, it might have even given pause to an old crook like him.įrancis Underwood: I mean, they roasted him on the spit for tapping into a few rooms at the Watergate. I can see you, and I can use what I see to rig this election.įrancis Underwood: Now, of course, a weapon like that, well, you can imagine how risky it is. Your phone, the phone of the person sitting next to you, your neighbor's phone and everyone you know and the 300 million Americans you don't know. That is, if the courts allow my surveillance request.įrancis Underwood: I imagine the men hanging on these walls wished they'd had a gun like that available to them. It's one of the perks of being president. He can turn all those searches into votes, and that's enough bullets to kill my chances of winning. And it's powerful because with it, he can tell what you think, what you want, where you are and who you are. Now, Conway has a powerful gun, a search engine.
